The crowning finish
The CENTENARIO IV-400|20|S is a specially developed electromechanical hybrid caliber and the technical heart of every CENTENARIO Timepiece. Designed specifically for use in interiors, it combines precise mechanics with intelligent electronics and digital control.
In just 20 mm of installation space with a diameter of 450 mm, a complex mechanical architecture of large-format, rotating discs operates with precisely manufactured gear rings, ball-bearing guides, and individually controlled drive elements. Manufactured on state-of-the-art CNC machines and carefully assembled, it translates electronic precision into real mechanical movement.
“Hybrid” describes this interplay: Two separate, high-torque precision drives move the discs for the hour and minute display. Specially developed software coordinates their positioning and designs the movement sequences. Balanced components, nearly backlash-free mechanics, and acoustically decoupled drives enable smooth, whisper-quiet operation. Power is supplied via a 12 V power supply connected to the 230 V mains.
The connection between mechanics and electronics is particularly visible in the CENTENARIO Spinner. Its separately driven, rotating discs create the characteristic pulse of the Timepiece. What appears effortless on the outside requires precise interaction of drive, bearings, sensors, and control on the inside.
A precise internal time base ensures the independent timekeeping of the caliber. Additionally, the time can be synchronized and automatically adjusted via smartphone or GPS with an external time reference. Even without this connection, the time display is maintained.
Sensors monitor and reference the mechanical display elements. The digital control architecture coordinates their movements and connects mechanics, light, digital functions, and real-time information into a staged overall system.
Using the CENTENARIO Home App, movements, functions, and lighting scenarios can be individually controlled and configured. Mechanical processes are consciously designed together with light and digital information. This creates possibilities that go far beyond the classic time display – from characteristic movement sequences and dynamic lighting scenarios to complications and real-time information.
Precise manufacturing and consistent quality standards form the basis for low-maintenance operation. Thus, the CENTENARIO IV-400|20|S unites mechanical expressiveness, electronic precision, and individual operating comfort in an exceptionally slim construction.
Every 60 seconds, the minute display moves with a finely tuned motion curve: gentle start, acceleration, and deceleration make every step a fascinating moment. For the hour display, two modes are available: In Jump Mode, it switches to the next position on the hour, while in Smooth Mode, it slowly moves forward a bit every five minutes.
Magnets integrated into the discs guide the floating display elements without contact. Integrated power lines supply the transmission coils, which transfer energy inductively through the dial to illuminate the display elements. This way, they light up on the front and glide magically over the dial – the special CENTENARIO moment when the display elements move.
Balanced discs with precisely manufactured gear rings and maintenance-free, ball-bearing precision guides ensure smooth rotation. Acoustically decoupled drives enable whisper-quiet movements – the mechanical foundation for the magical gliding of the display elements over the dial.
Behind this lies precise fine mechanics in a very compact space: The ball-bearing discs enable silent movement within the flat housing. The direction and speed of rotation can be configured via the CENTENARIO HOME APP. This allows you to individually design the interplay of the discs and the effect of the optical illusion.
Every 15 minutes, the Spinner comes to life. As a visible impulse at each quarter hour, it makes the passage of time tangible. The alternation between stillness and movement gives the CENTENARIO its own rhythm and lends it a vibrant, unmistakable expressiveness.
The design of the Spinner is matched to each model. It is currently available with a logo or stone, as well as with differently designed Spinner discs. This way, the “Heartbeat” gains its own character depending on the version.
Two separately driven, ball-bearing discs combine complex fine mechanics in the smallest of spaces – for precise, silent movement. Protected under sapphire glass and with an illuminated axis, the Spinner forms the vibrant center of the watch.
Different graphic designs, logos, or elegant gemstone settings characterize the Spinner – coordinated with each specific model and always matching the color of the watch.
At every full hour and every quarter hour, the Spinner comes to life. A silent, visual time indication that makes time tangible and fascinating.
In interaction with our in-house caliber IV 400/20/S Hybrid, the RR 1.0 coordinates all electronic functions and translates digital commands into real mechanical movements. Display elements, drives, lighting, and additional functions are precisely synchronized and staged into a fascinating interplay of time, movement, and light.
Its powerful and flexible system architecture already creates the foundation for future functions and expansions. From hour, minute, and second to calendar information and moon phases, all the way to astronomical data or tides: The RR 1.0 is designed to process a wide variety of time-dependent information and display it via the mechanical display elements.
A precise internal time base ensures the autonomous operation of the caliber. Via GPS satellite signals or the Bluetooth connection to the smartphone, the RR 1.0 receives an external time reference. Intelligent synchronization enables continuous timekeeping even without a permanent connection and automatically adjusts the internal time when an external reference is available.
A special feature of the RR 1.0 is the direct connection between digital control and real mechanics. It communicates with the CENTENARIO Home App via Bluetooth. Digital commands can immediately trigger mechanical movements, position display elements, and activate individual lighting scenarios. In this way, CENTENARIO goes far beyond the classic digital control of lighting and sound in interiors.
The intelligent control logic processes complex sequences in real time and coordinates mechanical drives, sensors, and dynamic lighting functions. Whether 360° ambient lighting, central lighting, inductive lighting technology, or the characteristic Spinner with its mechanical heartbeat: All components are controlled within a unified system architecture and precisely synchronized.
With the Premium Architecture RR 1.0 and our caliber IV 400/20/S Hybrid, we combine two independent developments into a technological unit. The caliber embodies mechanical precision. The RR 1.0 provides the digital intelligence that expands its possibilities and unites mechanical movement, light, and information into an exceptional experience.

Circuit boards, cable guides, and all electronic connections are fully integrated into the MonoCase™. All components have their precisely defined place within the architecture of the timepiece.
The electronic architecture is consistently designed to be expandable and adaptable. New functions, technologies, and future developments can be flexibly integrated—a foundation that continues to grow with CENTENARIO.
Processor, controller, GPS, and acceleration sensors are combined on a central circuit board. It forms the electronic heart of the CENTENARIO Premium Architecture RR 1.0 and coordinates all functions of the timepiece.
All time settings can be conveniently managed via the app, and the mechanical movements as well as the lighting effects can be individually customized. In addition, the Sleep Mode, Auto Mode, and Cleaning Mode are available, allowing the Timepiece to adapt to different usage situations.
For special stagings, the six predefined CENTENARIO Modes: BASIC, NightLight, Hour Pulse, Hour Strike, Wave, and Star provide unique experiences. Each of these modes combines mechanical movements and light in its own way, giving the Timepiece an individual character.
Further extraordinary experiences are made possible by the exclusive Race Mode of the ICONIC models as well as the Rainbow Mode. Here, movement and light merge into dynamic stagings that go far beyond the classic display of time.
Maximum creative freedom is offered by the Individual Modes. Here, owners can configure mechanical movement sequences, light colors, brightness, and other functions entirely according to their personal preferences. Individual combinations can be saved as custom profiles and recalled at any time.
The entire lighting architecture is also controlled via the app. From the Charm Light to the Center Light and the surrounding 360° Ambient Light, colors, brightness, lighting moods, and individual lighting scenarios can be precisely coordinated.
The CENTENARIO HOME APP is therefore much more than a classic remote control. It makes the extraordinary possibilities of our electromechanical architecture directly tangible and gives every owner the freedom to stage time, movement, and light according to their own ideas.

The CENTENARIO MonoCase™ forms the structural foundation of every CENTENARIO Timepiece. A specially developed case that unites extraordinary design, the highest manufacturing precision, and technical functionality in a unique architecture.
Precisely milled from solid aluminum blocks, diamond-turned, and perfectly matched to each other, an outer and an inner ring are created, which are combined to form the CENTENARIO MonoCase™.
In the space between both components, the light output of the surrounding Ambilight is invisibly integrated.
With a diameter of 498 millimeters and an exceptionally slim design of only around 32 millimeters, the MonoCase™ combines impressive dimensions with an elegant, minimalist design language. Its construction is designed to accommodate the complex technology inside while simultaneously maintaining a uncompromisingly clear external appearance.
The MonoCase™ is far more than just an outer shell. It also takes on supporting and functional roles and forms the structural basis for the electromechanical caliber IV 400/20/S Hybrid, the electronic components, and the integrated lighting architecture. All bearing points and mounts are integrated directly into the MonoCase™ with the highest precision to ensure play-free operation of the mechanics.
The elaborately finished surfaces are refined with the utmost care. From high-quality lacquers to anodized surfaces and galvanic finishes with 18-carat yellow or rose gold as well as rhodium for a white gold look, the MonoCase™ offers a wide range of customization options.
On the back, the CENTENARIO Center Lock wall mount is integrated into the case. The CENTENARIO MonoCase™ is thus far more than a case. It is the fusion of construction, material, and design – developed to unite sophisticated precision mechanics and the latest technology in an extraordinary form.
The visible finishing touch of the CENTENARIO MonoCase™ is the interchangeable dial. With minimal gaps and precisely defined positioning, it is flush-mounted into the case, shaping the individual character of the Timepiece. It can be changed by the customer, offering the possibility to redesign its appearance at any time.
FROM A SINGLE BLOCK. ENGINEERED TO PERFECTION.
The MonoCase™ forms the structural basis of the entire timepiece. Bearing points, plate mounts, cable guides, and technical fittings are integrated directly into the case – precisely matched to the mechanics of the caliber and the exact fit of the interchangeable dial.
Milled and finely turned from solid aluminum, the MonoCase™ is created with exceptional precision. Elaborately ground and polished surfaces complete the finishing down to the last detail. Fitted together with precision, a precisely functional unit is formed from the outer ring and the case back.
The frame receives its exclusive surface through an electroplated finish with 18-carat yellow or rose gold, or through rhodium plating for a white gold look. For the gold versions, the case back is standard dark chemically nickel-plated and, upon request, refined to match the chosen case version. For all other versions, the case back is painted black.
THE CONNECTION TO THE WALL
The CENTENARIO wall mount is much more than a classic fixture. It serves as both the mechanical holder and the electrical interface between the wall and the timepiece.
The system consists of two precisely coordinated components. One part of the CENTER LOCK CONNECT is securely mounted to the wall and connected to the low-voltage power supply. The counterpart is elegantly and fully integrated into the back of the CENTENARIO MonoCase™.
When the timepiece is placed on, both components fit together perfectly and position the timepiece securely in its intended place. At the same time, the electrical connection is made automatically: Two spring-loaded contact pins independently establish the connection to the power supply when joined together.
No separate plugging in, no visible cables, no awkward handling behind the timepiece.

A small technical detail that makes all the difference. For us, premium is not only about materials and finishes, but also about how naturally a product works.
The entire technology remains hidden behind the timepiece after installation. At the same time, the timepiece can easily be removed and replaced as needed – the electrical connection is automatically disconnected and restored when placed back on.
In this way, CENTENARIO CENTER LOCK CONNECT combines precise wall mounting, secure power supply, and maximum user convenience in a fully integrated system.
PLUG & PLAY – THOUGHT THROUGH TO THE LAST DETAIL.
The wall-mounted CENTER LOCK CONNECT is supplied with 12 V and forms the basis for secure fixation and automatic electrical connection of the timepiece.
The flat design enables easy and secure wall mounting. The timepiece can be mounted by a single person and then precisely rotated and aligned.
On the timepiece side, spring-loaded contact pins automatically provide power when mounted. No separate connection, no cables, no additional steps required.
As the design highlight of the CENTENARIO MonoCase™, the dial fits precisely into the case with the tightest tolerances. Seven glass color variants, nine mirror variants, and two carbon variants offer a wide range of possibilities to give your timepiece a personal touch. Metallic scales, meticulous hand-painting, and selected printing techniques refine the surfaces.
The dials can be changed by the customer themselves and will also be available individually in the future. This way, you can give your CENTENARIO a new character at any time— matched to your interior, your mood, or your personal style.
